“ I really did enjoy this place even with such an odd name The food was pretty good. The people were really nice and they were quick. They didn't rush us through our meal letting us to leave like some do. It was nice and quiet. It's a good place to try if you wanna be quiet place and you have wonderful people who wait on you ”
“ Good but elote is a little watery. I just recommend for them to make it less waters but I got no other complaints!! ”
“ Best late night food in the area. I come here religiously for the the elote and carne asada tacos. ”
“ Oh my boyfriend and I have been and search for the best taco truck. This might have had all five stars if I absolutely loved their salsa, but I didn't. The salsa was good, but I've had better. Other than that, the prices for which you get are very very fair, and the food is very flavorful. I would not mind coming here again at all. ”
“ The carnitas tacos are legit!!! They make carnitas the way it was meant to be made and it's hard to find done right like they do it here. ”
“ Damn. We got a chicken taco, beef tostada, and horchata and you'll be hearing no complaints from us. Thank goodness we hadn't run out of cash. Oooh, and they had tables and a trash can so that'd be bonus points if we could give 'em. ”
“ Listen. No taco truck is topping this one. The first time we came here we ended up coming back 3 more times in the same week... that's just dangerous (health wise, lol) but it's that good so no regrets. The asada tacos are always solid and the quesadilla is sooooo good (I like a steak and chicken mix). I prefer the green salsa over the red. Cash only and usually there is a little line or wait but service is still good and quick. ”
“ First things first, call ahead with your order! It'll make it a breeze when you arrive to get your food quickly. And don't be shy if you aren't too well-versed with speaking Spanish, they can take your order in English as well. We first stumbled upon this taco truck a while back, when it was super late at night and we were craving tacos. Our usual taco place now has new hours and closes a lot earlier than before, so we were happy to find a place that was open later for those late night cravings. All we've ever gotten here is the tacos, and let me tell you. They are good. REAL GOOD. The carne asada, lengua and tripa are our absolute favorite tacos. The tacos sauces they provide are super tasty too. Just watch out for the hot ones, cos it's really spicy! And when your mouth is on fire and it starts to seem like it's too hot to handle, make sure to order a large horchata to cool you down. ”
“ "For the love of tacos is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for tacos, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs." -- 1 Chris 6:10 I'm a huge fan of Taqueria Sanchez, and thought it would be hard for anyone else to top them. I'm not prepared to say El Dolar is better, but as John Wayne said in "Rio Bravo," "It'd be pretty close. I'd hate to have to live on the difference." After nearly drowning trying to stop at El Dolar during a thunderstorm, I made it back a couple days later. When trying a new taqueria, I've found ordering lengua, pastor and barbacoa tacos usually give me a good picture of the place. Service was fairly quick. Gracious, these are good. No, they're excellent. And they have lots of meat. The pastor was as tender and juicy as I've ever had. And the lengua... Most places do OK, but you can frequently tell it's tongue by the texture and a bit of a gamey taste. Not here. Big, soft chunks that left me wanting more. I thought the barbacoa was even better than at Taqueria Sanchez. It was perfection in a tortilla. The horchata was great as well. I really liked the green sauce they have. It's definitely got heat, but I picked up a nice taste of onion in the background. I considered drinking it, but instead sprinkled it on the tacos. The only knock is I missed the roasted jalapeño like you get at Taqueria Sanchez. ”
“ The tacos... I eat them, no I make love to them. When the juice from the taco runs down my chin I am in heaven. I don't do it in my car, I do it right there next to the trailer, on the corner, for all the world to see. Licking that hot taco and closing my eyes I let my ambitions float away. I wrap my mouth around the spicy meat filled folds of the tortilla and become whole. Today I found out how a burrito should taste. They way I imagined it would if it was perfect. I succumbed to the long warm shape of the burrito, the juicy flavors, the moist rice, so many textures and feelings. I want to try everything here. I want more. I want to fall to my knees and let them stuff tacos in my face forever. ”
